Minimalism has a cost and a payoff
The payoff is a bike that weighs about 19 kg, needs almost no maintenance thanks to the belt drive, and looks like nothing else on the rack. The connected app handles navigation, theft alerts and diagnostics.
The cost is flexibility. It is single-speed, so very steep hills are down to the motor rather than the gears, and there is less scope to bolt things on. Note also that Cowboy is a European brand and the bike is built to the EU 25 km/h assist limit, not a US class. Check what applies where you ride.

- It manages, but it is single-speed, so climbing is entirely the motor's job with no low gear to fall back on. If you live somewhere genuinely steep, a geared or mid-drive bike will be happier.
