Aventon fits torque sensors across almost the whole range, which is unusual at these prices and is the main reason we stock them. A torque sensor measures how hard you are pushing and matches it, so the bike feels like your own legs rather than shoving you forward. It also stretches range.
Six models here, from $1,199 to $2,899, and they cover more ground than any other brand on the site: city, folding, fat tyre, cargo and a mid-drive eMTB.

The range, from lightest to most capable
The Soltera 2.5 at $1,199 is the lightest bike Aventon makes at 20.9 kg, with integrated turn signals. It is the answer if you carry the bike up steps.
The Sinch 2.5 at $1,799 folds and keeps 4-inch fat tyres, which suits vans and boats. The Aventure 3 at $1,999 is the full-size fat-tyre bike, and its Sensor Switch lets you pick torque or cadence assist from the bar.
The Abound LR at $1,999 is the longtail, rated to 440 lb total. The Ramblas at $2,899 is the only mid-drive here, with 100 Nm through the gears for real climbing.
Aventon compared to Lectric and Velotric
Against Lectric, Aventon is the more refined ride and Lectric is the better raw value. A Lectric XP4 at $1,299 carries 840 Wh, more battery than anything Aventon sells at that price. If the spec sheet is what matters, Lectric wins. If how the bike feels underneath you matters, Aventon does.
Against Velotric, it is closer. Velotric leans quieter and more comfortable, Aventon leans sportier and broader in range. Neither is a mistake.

- Depends on the job. Aventure 3 for mixed and rough surfaces, Soltera 2.5 if weight matters, Abound LR for carrying children, Ramblas if you climb. There is no single best one, and any list that gives you one is not asking what you ride.
- Do all Aventon e-bikes have a torque sensor?
- Almost all of the current range does, and it is the main thing separating them from cheaper bikes. The Aventure 3 goes further with a Sensor Switch, letting you swap between torque and cadence sensing while riding.
