Three bikes, three jobs

Turbo Vado 4.0 at $2,799 is the commuter: 70 Nm, a 710 Wh battery, 90 miles of quoted range, and lights, rack and mudguards fitted as standard rather than sold as extras.

Turbo Como 4.0 at $3,999 is the same platform in a comfort-first, step-through frame, with a more upright position and higher-volume tyres.

Turbo Levo at $7,999 is the full-suspension eMTB, with Specialized's own 3.1 motor putting out 105 Nm and 810 W peak, an 840 Wh battery and a 24.54 kg weight that is genuinely light for the class.

When Specialized is not the right answer

If you ride moderate trails and fire roads, the Turbo Levo is more bike than you need, and a hardtail like the Aventon Ramblas at $2,899 covers that riding well for a third of the price. We would rather say that than sell you the expensive one.

The Vado and Como are worth their premium mainly for the integration and the motor tuning. If those do not matter to you, a Velotric Discover 2 at $1,699 does the same commute.
