The Aventon Abound LR is a longtail cargo ebike at $1,999, which is cheap for the category. It carries a 440 lb total load on a 733 Wh battery, with 80 Nm of torque from a Shengyi rear hub and a double-sided torque sensor.
Longtail means the frame is stretched behind the saddle into a deck. That deck is the reason to buy this bike, and the reason it weighs what it weighs.
440 lb is a car-replacement number
The total limit is 440 lb including the rider. Take off a 180 lb adult and you have 260 lb of capacity left, which is two children and a week of shopping with room spare.
That is the threshold where a cargo bike genuinely replaces car trips rather than supplementing them. Below it you are carrying a bit more than a normal bike. At this number you are doing the school run.
It weighs 39.9 kg, and you need to plan for that

Ridden, it is fine. The weight sits low and the motor handles it. Not ridden, it is a serious object. It will not go up stairs, it will not go on a standard car rack, and moving it around a garage is a two-handed job.
A cargo bike needs a ground-floor home. If you do not have one, this is the wrong bike no matter how good the numbers look.
Torque sensing on a loaded bike matters more than usual
The Abound LR uses a double-sided bottom-bracket torque sensor rather than a cadence sensor. On a cargo bike that is worth more than it is on a normal one.
A cadence sensor delivers a fixed shove when the pedals turn. With 200 lb on the back, a sudden shove is exactly what you do not want when pulling away at a junction with a child on board. A torque sensor scales power to how hard you are pushing, so the bike moves predictably.
